The Windrush Years Part 10

- In the mid 60s women and children came over
- They felt oppressed, discriminated against, angry
- Martin Luther King began to rise, protests/peaceful marching took to streets in America
- Bus Companies didn’t want to employ black people when there were still white people to employ
- Boycotts about no coloured bars, every man has rights
- Labour Leader Harold Wilson supported the boycotts and black people, wanted a law against racism
- Malcolm X visited Britain before he died
- Racial Adjustment Action Society
