The Windrush Years Part 3


- The Black people had no idea what was going to happen to them or their families, their excitement was tinged with fear, uncertainty and anxiety
- After the casualties from the war, Britain was desperate for Labour, so the West Indians had no problem finding work
- People used to rub the Black people’s skin to see if it would come off – insulting
